Purpose
Redesign of home page towards increasing sales through better merchandizing, add enhanced personalization features, and bring up-to-date with corporate styleguide guideliines.

Home page redesign for B2C ecommerce division of HP.
Client Brief
Based on a business requirements document noting what customers must be able to accomplish from the page.
Design Rationale
Initially wireframes are created of each page to make sure all elements and functionality are represented plus to show content groupings in an initial rough layout. These are also used for review with engineers and developers to communicate needs and help them scope the project requirements. Based on the reviews changes are made and corporate guidelines are applied using the company trade dress including standardized colors, fonts, and user interface elements. From there user testing is done to ensure customer requirements are met and the project is then handed over to developers for implementation.
